MDT 2010 Officieel Vrijgegeven & MDT 2010 Nieuwe Functies

Microsoft heeft MDT 2010 vrijgegeven. Dit is de tool van Microsoft waarmee OS mee uitgerold kunnen worden. De nieuwe versie heeft heel veel nieuwe functies. Deze versie ondersteund Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2008 en Windows 2008 R2.

VMWare tools installeren tijdens Deployen met MDT

Als je x86 versie wilt hebben moet je het volgende commando hebben:
msiexec /i "VMware Tools.msi" /qn & voor het x64 versie msiexec /i "VMware Tools64.msi" /qn

Nu kun je onder Applicaties tijdens het deployen VMWare tools aan vinken Of je kunt de task zo aanpassen dat hij tijdens het deployen automatisch VMWare tools mee geïnstalleerd.

VMWare vSphere NIC (VMX 2 & VMX 3) Drivers aan MDT 2010 toevoegen

1. Download HIER de drivers die standaard mee gegeven worden met vSphere. Hier zitten ook de de drivers voor VMX2 Enhanced Driver en de VMX 3 Driver.

2. Maak onder Out-of-Box Drivers twee mapjes aan. Zie de afbeelding hieronder.

3. Importeer de drivers uit de 7zip bestand.

4. Klik de MDT Deployment Share weer aan en klik op Update Deployment Point

6. Wil je dit met Powershell doen klik op view script dan krijg het volgende powerscript te zien:

Add-PSSnapIn Microsoft.BDD.PSSnapIn
New-PSDrive -Name "DS001" -PSProvider MDTProvider -Root "E:\Distribution"
update-MDTDeploymentShare -path "DS001:" -Verbose

7. Vergeet niet om de oude LiteTouchPE_x64 & LiteTouchPE_x86 in WDS te verwijderen en opnieuw toe te voegen.

Upgrade MDT 2008 naar MDT 2010

1. Deinstalleer de oude de WAIK versie

2. Installeer op een Windows 2008 machine Powershell als Feature

3. Installeer de nieuwe WAIK Versie die ook Windows 7 & Windows 2008 R2 ondersteund.

4. Installeer MDT 2010

5. Start Deployment Workbench op.

Kies voor Open Deployment Share

Geef het oude path in de van de oude distributie map. Vergeet ook het vinkje niet aan te zetten.

5. Open Windows Deployment Services.

6. Gooi de oude Boot Images weg.

7. Voeg de twee nieuwe die tijdens de upgrade gemaakt zijn toe
LiteTouchPE_x86.wim
LiteTouchPE_x64.wim

Hoe Office 2007 distribueren met MDT

1. “Deployment Workbench” > “Distribution Share” > “Applications” > “New”.

2. Kies voor “Application with source files”.

3. Vul de gegevens in:

4. Geef de locatie van de bestanden op. In mijn geval was dit de Office 2007 DVD.

5. Hoe moet de map heten.

6. Geef bij command line setup.exe in:

7. Finish & en hij gaat het zaakje kopieeren

8. Als je de properties kiest van Office 2007 Enterprise

9. Dan zie je dat er een tabblad is bijgekomen genaamd Office Products

10. Nu kunnen we deze gaan aanpassen:

Display level: None betekent silent install

Vergeet niet om even op Apply te klikken. Nu wordt er een xml op de achtergrond aangemaakt.

11. Als je op Apply geklikt heb ga dan terug naar het tabblad Details.

Je ziet nu dat quint install command is aangepast naar: setup.exe /config Enterprise.WW\config.xml

12. Ga weer net tabblad Office Products

13. Wanneer je Office Customization Tool aanklikt dan krijg je het volgende te zien.
Je kunt dus alles aanpassen wat je wilt.

14. Als je nu op Edit config.xml doet krijg je het volgende te zien.

Ik heb de config even aan moeten passen zodat deze werkt aangezien ik de NL versie distribueer.

15. Als je het volgende in config.xml aanpast met het volgende dan wordt alleen Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Outlook geinstalleerd. ‘

Office 2007 aan een task toevoegen.

1. Deployment Workbench > Task Sequences > Windows XP > Properties.

2. Ga naar tabblad Task Sequence

3. Ga naar State Restore > Install Applications. Kies Install a single application > Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise. en klik op OK.

MDT automatisch windows updates via WSUS laten installeren tijdens het deployen van het OS.

1. Ga naar je distributieshare:

2. Open de control map

3. Open CustomSettings.ini

4. Voeg onder aan, het volgende toe
WSUSServer=http://jewsusserver

5. Download de volgende 2 bestanden:
x86 versions (WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe) at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=100334.
x64 version (WindowsUpdateAgent30-x64.exe) at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=100335.

6. Kopieer WindowsUpdateAgent30-x64.exe in de x:\Distribution\Tools\x64\ map en de
WindowsUpdateAgent30-x64.exe in de x:\Distribution\Tools\x86\ map.

7. Open elke task sequences die je aangemaakt hebt.
Haal de twee vinkjes weg bij:

Dit doe je door de taak aan te klikken en daarna options tab te klikken.
Vinkje weghalen bij Disable this step.

8. Nu kun je gaan testen of het werkt. Ik heb getest met Windows 2003 R2 X64 en het werkt als een trein. 😀

Waarom zijn dagen zo kort!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Deploying Windows Server 2003 R2 using MDT 2008

1. Voeg in MDT onder Operating System de Windows 2003 R2 CD1 toe.
Maak hier voor ook gelijk een Task toe.
Locatie in mijn geval:
D:DistributionOperating SystemsWindows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise SP2 Eng x86

2. Maak de volgende structuur lijkend op deze
D:Distribution
-Operating System
–Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise SP2 Eng x86
—$OEM$
—-$1
—–R2

3. Van de Windows Server 2003 R2 CD2, kopieer de CMPNENTS map naar D:DistributionOperating SystemsWindows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise SP2 Eng x86$OEM$$1R2

4. In de OEM$$1R2 map maak een batch bestand aan genaamd InstallR2.cmd (met de onderstaande tekst er in)

reg add HKLMSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionSetup /v SourcePath /t REG_SZ /d C:WindowsSourcei386 /f

Opmerking: Er zijn 3 regels. Regel 1 & 2 beginnen met "reg", regel 3 begint met "C:R2".

4. Pas de Windows Server 2003 R2 X86 Task Sequence aan.
Pas de [GUIRunOnce] sectie in Unattend.txt aan zoals het hier onderstaat:

Opmerking: Wil je de melding Windows Server Post-Setup Security Updates scherm niet krijgen moet je onder staan regel gebruiken.

Option 1:

Set "HKLMSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionServerOOBESecurityOOBEDontLaunchSecurityOOBE" to "0"

Option 2:

Wil je Windows Firewall uitgeschakeld hebben voeg deze regels dan toe in unattend.xml

MDT Joining PC/Server to Domain

1. Open MDT
2. Ga naar Task Sequences
3. Select a Task die je hebt aangemaakt.
4. Rechter muis knop op de desbetreffende Task en kies Properties
5. Ga naar het Tabblad OS Info

6. Klik op Edit Unattend.xml
7. Zoek het stukje [Identification] op.

Als je computers in de Computers container wilt terecht laten komen moet je de laatste regel weghalen.

OU=desktop veranderen in OU=Computers werkt niet aangezien de Computers geen OU is maar een Container.
Alle computers komen automatisch terecht in de Computers container als er geen domein OU mee gegeven worden.
