Installeren VMWare View Connection Server 4

Prerequisites

VMware View Connection Server
• Pentium IV 2.0Ghz processor or higher — dual processors are recommended
• 2GB RAM or higher — 3GB RAM is recommended for deployments of 50 or more View Manager desktops. VMware View connection server can handle 2,000 connections in clear mode and 750 in tunneled mode.
• One or more 10/100Mbps network interface controllers (NIC) — 1Gbps NIC is recommended

Supported Operating Systems
The VMware View Connection Server can be installed on the following 32-bit operating systems:
• Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition with SP2
• Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition with SP2
• Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition with SP2
• Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition with SP2

VMware View Connection Server Licences:
• VMware View Manager
• VMware View Manager with View Composer
• VMware View Manager with View Composer, and Offline Desktop

Installatie VMWare View Composer

1. VMWare View Composer moet geïnstalleerd worden op de Virtueel Center Server.

2. Maak op de server waar ook vCenter geïnstalleerd is een nieuwe database aan genaamd View Composer.

Prepare Schema & AD & domain voor installatie Exchange 2010

Prerequisites

Domain Controller:
Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition met Service Pack 1 (SP1) of later (32-bit or 64-bit)
Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition met SP1 of later (32-bit or 64-bit)
Windows Server 2008 Standard of Enterprise (32-bit or 64-bit)
Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard or Enterprise

Prepare Active Directory en domains

1. Indien er nog een Exchange 2003 Server aanwezig is moet je:
setup /PrepareLegacyExchangePermissions of setup /pl

2. setup /PrepareSchema of setup /ps

3. setup /PrepareAD of setup /p
Onder de OU in domain genoemd Microsoft Exchange Security Groups worden de volgende groepen aangemaakt:
Exchange Organization Management
Exchange Recipient Management
Exchange Server Management
Exchange View-Only Organization Management
Exchange Public Folder Management
Exchange UM Management
Exchange Hygiene Management
Exchange Records Management
Exchange Discovery Management
Exchange Delegated Setup

Legacy Groepen:

4. setup /PrepareDomain of setup /pd

Quicktime Repackagen

1. Download Quicktime

2. Extract de quicktime.exe  op de volgende twee manier
   Manier1: quicktime.exe /extract
   Manier2: Gebruik 7zip

3. Download: Orca

4. Open de Quicktime MSI met Orca.

5. Ga naar View -> Summary Information.

6. Onder Language verwijderd alles behalve 1033 (US English).

7. Onder Shortcut  verwijder de volgende 3 snelkoppelingen: QuicktimeTimePlayer_Desktop & QuicktimeUninstaller & Quicktime Readme

8. Onder CaPackage AppleSoftwareUpdate verwijderd

9. Onder LaunchCondition -> NOT BNEWERPRODUCTISINSTALLED verwijderd.

10. Sla de wijzingen op & sluit Orca

11. Nu kun je AppleApplicationSupport.msi & Quicktime.msi aan een GPO koppelen.

Event ID 4004 The DFS Replication service stopped replication on the replicated folder at local path C:\Windows\SYSVOL\domain.

En gelukkig werkt alles weer naar behoren.

Event id 7005 Microsoft Exchange couldn’t read the configuration from the Active Directory directory service & The Windows Cluster Service encountered an error during function OpenCluster

Exchange 2007 CCR gehad van het weekend. Kreeg de volgende melding in de eventviewer en in de gui.

Event Viewer:

Oplossing:
clip_image002[4] Gestopt.

Daarna was de melding nog steeds niet weg in de GUI. In de event viewer wel. Aangezien deze toch als passieve draait maar even herstart uitgevoerd. Nu is alles weer netjes in orde.

Active Directory / Domain Naming System Convergentie Check Utility

Domain Naming System Convergentie Check Utility is een “script/tool” om een nieuwe ingerichte domain controller op de juiste wijze functioneert. Het test namelijk de ad replicatie en of dns op de juiste wijze werkt. Downloaden doe je HIER

Uitvoering:
DNSconvergeCheck.cmd “domaincontroller1” “"domaincontroller2” “FQDN” > dnslog.txt
